Grow Better Garden Products was started in 1991 and has been servicing the horticultural industry ever since.

The original product, a pelletised organic fertiliser, is still an important and integral part of the business. It has been followed by an ever growing range of other organic and organically based fertilisers, soil improvers, mulches, potting media and water saving products. In the years since, Grow Better has earned an enviable reputation in the Australian marketplace for its quality products and is now considered a market leader. Today, Grow Better employs 35 dedicated staff at the Bayswater head office/warehouse and Ballarat plants.

Manufacturing

Ballarat

Berrybank Farm (Ballarat) is the manufacturing base for the Grow Better range of potting media. An environmentally sound (green) operation –where by-products of processing are harnessed to generate electricity, with excess fed back into the national grid – the facility produces a range of quality potting mixes that has excelled in numerous independent trials against those of reputable competitors.

Quality Assurance

Grow Better achieved Australian Organic (AO) certification for several organic products with a range of potting media manufactured to the exacting requirements of appropriate Australian Standards.

Distribution

Grow Betters’ fleet of trucks efficiently distributes direct to more than 800 retailers. Reliability and regularity of deliveries are hallmarks of the distribution system which has generous freight concessions available for country and interstate customers.

Customers

Grow Better branded products are available only to independent retailers, and are not supplied to chain stores or supermarkets.

Sales

Grow Better has a telephone and on-the-road sales team dedicated to meeting customer needs. Customers are able to purchase assorted pallets from across the range. Marketing aids and POS materials are available to assist retailers with onsite merchandising.

Market research and product development are ongoing with new products launched regularly.
