Grow Better Gardening Guides
EARLY SPRING...
Our gardens are waking up after winter. As weather temperatures steadily rise, the ground will begin to warm and new growth will emerge.
This is the perfect time to give our soils some attention. Weeding and adding organic matter in the form of compost and manure.
We recommend digging in some Grow Better Pure Magic Compost to help revitalise tired soils. Organically certified and composted it will improve moisture retention and enhance soil friability – making it crumbly and easy to work with. Safe and gentle, it is suitable for all types of plants. If you’re planting anything and especially vegetables it's beneficial to add some certified organic sheep or cow manure.
● Our organically certified AO Sheep Manure is a completely natural, chemical-free, composted manure. Using composted manures is important because it ensures the manure is weed-free. It contains all the essentials for strong, healthy plant growth and is especially effective on tomatoes.
● Our organically certified Cow Manure AO is also composted and therefore weed free. It adds humus to improve soil texture and encourages earthworms which benefits soil health and structure.
For both types, you can either dig them into the soil or lightly rake them in and water afterwards.
After revitalising your soils in your gardens it is time to plant and fertilise!
We recommend our Grow Better Organic Fertiliser which is gentle yet effective and 100% organic free of any harmful impurities. It is safe and easy to spread over edible crops like vegetable gardens and fruit trees or any part of your garden that doesn’t contain native plants. It will assist your plants to promote strong roots, healthy leaf growth and prolific flower production. Also not harmful to humans, animals or birds.
For native plants, we recommend Natural Natives Fertiliser which is low in phosphorus.
Follow up by watering in with our Seaweed Concentrate weekly to aid and assist strong plant health. Your plants will thank you!!
